The El Gizarettes: Las Vegas, NV, United States; The El Gizarettes is the dance unit of Daughters of the Nile, Las Vegas, NV Temple #139. I will have to get back to you on when the unit was created but the Temple was started in 1977. Basically we are a faternal organization that is non-profit and raises money for charities. Daughters of the Nile main charity is the Shriner's Children Hospitals. This is the website I started for this unit: http://sites.google.com/site/theelgizarettes/ We learn dances and do performances where ever they ask us to do so. We practice a lot but we also have a lot of fun. Our unit's main fundraiser is The Mad Hatter's Tea which we have every year at the end of February/ beginning of March (depending on scheduled events). We also sell the Temple's name badges.
