Welcome, Welcome
Welcome everyone to the new El Gizarettes Blog.
We have our website: http://sites.google.com/site/theelgizarettes/
We are currently learning a new dance for Ceremonial in October. We will be dark June, July and August. Our May meeting was on the 6th. It was very short.
We will be doing a Bake Sale at the November Stated Session, November 19, 2009.
The next Mad Hatter's Tea is February 27th, 2010, 2 - 4 PM at MMT (Masonic Memorial Temple).
We still are selling the 'Daughters of The Nile, Las Vegas, NV Temple #139' name badges for $25.00 each. For more information about this contact Susan R.
If you have any questions or concerns, please just let us know.
Thank you for viewing this blog and post.

Who Are The El Gizarettes?
Hello Everyone and Welcome to this new blog. The El Gizarettes is the dance unit of Daughters of the Nile, Las Vegas, NV Temple #139. I will have to get back to you on when the unit was created but the Temple was started in 1977.
The following link will tell you what Daughters of the Nile is: http://www.daughtersofthenile.com/ and this one too: http://www.donfdn.com/
Basically we are a faternal organization that is non-profit and raises money for charities. Daughters of the Nile main charity is the Shriner's Children Hospitals (http://www.shrinershq.org/). To know more about the Shriners please check out the following link: http://www.shrinershq.org/Shrine/, basically they are Free Masons who are of the 32nd degree and then join Shriners.
Now back to us, this is the website I started for this unit: http://sites.google.com/site/theelgizarettes/
We learn dances and do performances where ever they ask us to do so. We practice a lot but we also have a lot of fun. Our unit's main fundraiser is The Mad Hatter's Tea which we have every year at the end of February/ beginning of March (depending on scheduled events). We also sell the Temple's name badges.
